So Chic Events started in October 2007 and has since coordinated over 300 weddings and over 100 corporate, private, social and nonprofit events. Planning, coordination and hospitality are in our blood and there’s nothing we love more than managing details – big and small – to ensure an event is executed flawlessly. We believe that our clients should be able to hand off as much of their event as they want so they can not only enjoy the event when it arrives, but the planning process itself. We pride ourselves in the relationships we establish with our clients and other event professionals and we’d love for you to experience that for yourself.
Born and raised in Central Illinois, my love of the Midwest runs deep and I love working with clients to show off just how amazing Central Illinois is. I’ve had a love of events and details since I was in junior high volunteering at fundraisers and walk/runs and learning to run silent auctions. My passion for weddings grew in college when I helped pay my tuition by selling wedding dresses and renting tuxes to bridal parties. Put those things together and starting So Chic Events was an incredibly natural transition.
Collaboration fuels my passion for this industry. There’s nothing I love more than getting to know our clients and their vision for their event and then assembling the perfect team to help execute it. I’m a firm believer that the planning process should be as amazing as the event itself – goodness knows you spend longer planning the event than you do on the event day that is done in a blink. I believe the process should complement the outcome.
I’m also proud to own So Chic Boutique, a local gift & stationery boutique that started in 2013 that also specializes in invitations. I also have the pleasure of teaching Special Event Planning and Retail Entrepreneurship at Bradley University.
I’m married to my college sweetheart, Pod, and have two sweet little boys, Camden and Declan.

Our amazing team of Associate Planners allows us to accommodate multiple events in any given weekend as well as offer variations in our pricing. Our Associates specialize in day of coordination and are often pulled in to assist on events of any size – whether we need an extra set of hands or just someone to swing by and put finishing touches on a set up. Each Associate is hired with prior event experience and goes through in-depth training until accepted as a So Chic Events planner.
